I fully expect and hope we start with our best side in our hardest group game, to expect to be turning over teams at this level with our reserves is a little bit too arrogant, the sort of thing you'd expect from clubs not taking this competition seriously enough and overrating their abilities. They dont look like an amazing side, but they're solid and at home and will see a result against as their ticket to the next round, they'll be playing their best side for sure.
Soucek is a shoo-in for this one, has been decent this season - Freiburg are great from set pieces so his height will be useful as well as offensively where Freiburg dont look the biggest team he'll trouble them in their box from JWPs magical deliveries. Plus three fucking goals this season already. Bowen is in the form of his life, undroppable, Alverez is experienced and possibly our best player now and Paqueta is still Paqueta even if Moyes insists on wasting him out on the left. I dont see where Kudus gets in, he's certainly given the squad a kick up the arse albeit a fucking expensive one.

I know we've got a game on Sunday but after that an international break (for some) where we can manage the teams fitness and recovery.

Moyes tends to do something a bit different in these games so I reckon he'll start with Antonio on the bench and Kudus up front or as a false 9. Apart from that maybe just a bit of tinkering, like Kehrer in for Coufal.

It'll be the same starting line up from Saturday aside from Fab for Areola, assuming no injuries. Or at least that's what it SHOULD be.
The players are are well rested, this is a must win game. It would be mad not to do that.

Grifo is excellent on his day and theyre not a bad unit, but we should still have too much for them if we turn up.

To be fair if they watched the second half against Sheff Utd they'll think we're shit. They aint shit, they're nothing special though, playing people out of position aint the answer. If you think Soucek aint playing you're fuckin dreaming!

I think Moyes will rest a few and still win.
Thing that troubles me is Antonio is an obvious player to rest, but what are the other options? Moyes won’t play Mubama, Bowen could do with a rest, Ings is pretty useless, but I think that’s who it’ll be.
